Fall Sermon Series: Redemption Revisited
Wednesday, 01 September 2010

On September 5th, we will begin a new sermon series titled Redemption Revisited. The Bible is the story of how God is redeeming a people for himself through Jesus Christ his Son. In fact, the Bible tells us that this is the story of all of human history. How well do we understand this story? Even folks who identify themselves as Christians today often fail to see the centrality of the Church in God’s story, preferring to see their individual relationship with God as being at the heart of the matter. And what does the Bible tell us about that “relationship with God”? Over the next several months, we’ll look together at the beautiful picture the Bible paints of the Church for whom Christ died and the redemption that Jesus has purchased for us with his blood.

We do hope you’ll join us.

Intro to Trinity Harbor Class
Wednesday, 01 September 2010

Starting Sept. 12th, Trinity Harbor will offer the Introduction to Trinity Harbor Seminar.  This four-week class runs during the Sunday School hour (9:30-10:15am on Sunday mornings) and is intended to give you the opportunity to learn more about the church and the opportunity for the pastoral staff to get to know you.  The class is a pre-requisite for membership at Trinity Harbor, but you do not have to be interested in membership to take the class.

First Sunday Fellowship Meal
Wednesday, 01 September 2010

This Sunday, Sept. 5th (the first Sunday of each month), Trinity Harbor Church celebrates the Lord’s Supper.  As part of that celebration we take an additional benevolence offering during the service for the economically distressed, and we share a fellowship meal downstairs immediately following the service.  Please come and join us as our guests even if you are visiting for the first time or if you are unable to bring something to share. We’ll make sure that there is enough food!

Adult Sunday School Class -- Foundations of Faith
Wednesday, 01 September 2010

As we look together at the beauty of the church and our redemption this fall, during Sunday School we will be rounding out the picture of what the Bible teaches. If we are to understand how we fit into God's story, we need a broader framework to understand the story the Bible tells. Who is God? What is humanity? What is the fundamental problem of the world? How is that problem solved? In the background will be our church’s Confession of Faith, our historic understanding of the teachings of the Bible. Together we will seek to let the Bible’s teaching shape how we follow Jesus and love him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.

Adult Sunday School meets from 9:30-10:15 am. This class will be taught by Pastor Bill Burns.

Adult Sunday School Class -- Parenting
Wednesday, 01 September 2010

Attention all PARENTS! Being a parent is one of the hardest things you and I will ever do. It will often require more of us than we, in our own strength, are willing to give. Yet, God ENTRUSTS us with these little souls “for a limited time only.” Before we know it, the clay is hardening and the opportunity for shaping it is almost gone.

We want to INVEST the next 13 Sunday school mornings looking at what God’s word has to say about raising children for his glory and look at some practical principles and steps that will help us 1) Enjoy our kids, 2) build their character, 3) put loving limits on behavior and attitudes, and 4) raise them so that they do more than "turn out alright."

Come join us (Bill & Colleen Thomas) for some practical teaching and discussion each week, beginning Sept 5th. If possible, come WITH your spouse. Adult Sunday School meets from 9:30-10:15am.
