Daniel: Who To Trust?
During January and February, Trinity Harbor is going through a sermon series on the Old Testament book of Daniel
entitled Who To Trust?. As our culture increasingly turns away from the Christian narrative, we will
experience more and more what it is to live in a world that doesn’t believe in our God. The book of
Daniel prepares us for that reality. Daniel is often read as an example of what it means to live by faith.
However, if the only message of Daniel is to live like Daniel, then there isn’t much room for Jesus.
Reading Daniel in light of Jesus will be an exercise in how to read the Old Testament rightly, in light
of the coming of Christ.

Adult Sunday School Class -- Doing Justice and Preaching Grace

On Sunday, December 4th, we will begin a new adult Sunday School class that examines the church’s mission in the world. Drawing on insights from Harvie Conn and Tim Keller among others, we will look at God’s calling upon the church to carry out the mission of Christ. What role does doing justice play in how the church faithfully proclaims the gospel, the good news that King Jesus has come to set all things to rights?
As many today wrestle with the definition of the church’s mission, we will consider together what it means for us to be faithful to our King as we live out and proclaim the gospel in all of its facets. This class will be taught by Pastor Bill Burns.
